Description
Streptocide Ointment 10% is a topical antibacterial medication containing sulfanilamide for external application to the skin. Sulfanilamide belongs to the sulfonamide group of antibacterial agents and works by inhibiting the growth and reproduction of susceptible bacteria. The ointment is traditionally used for infected wounds, cuts, abrasions, and other superficial skin damage where bacterial contamination is a concern. It provides targeted antibacterial action directly at the affected area and helps support the normal healing process of damaged skin. The soft paraffin base helps protect the treated area and prevents excessive drying of the skin.
