The core of Lysobact DUO spray is the combination of two potent active components, which, in their proportion, offer fast relief, pain reduction, and local anesthetic effects.

Active Ingredients of Lysobact DUO

1. Lysozyme hydrochloride (20 mg/1 ml) is a natural enzyme produced by the human’s body in its secretions. Lysozyme provides local anti-inflammatory action, contributes to non-specific resistance of the body, and is an effective protector against Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
2. Cetylpyridinium chloride (1.5 mg/1 ml) is an antiseptic substance that effectively penetrates bacteria cells’ membranes and breaks its metabolism. It is especially effective on throat and mouth mucous surfaces.

Other Ingredients

The spray also contains additional components:

• Glycerol 85% - the liquid base for the spray with a soothing effect.
• Peppermint flavor contributes to the pleasant freshness in the mouth.

Indications for Use

Lysobact DUO spray is an OTC medication for local application in the throat and oral cavity in the following cases:

• Local treatment of acute inflammation in the oral cavity (including stomatitis and gingivitis).
• As part of a complex therapy for a common cold, the flu, and other throat infections leading to sore throat symptoms.
• As a local treatment (under the doctor’s recommendation) during pre-surgery and post-surgery periods in the case of tonsillectomy, tooth removal, or any other surgery on the throat or mouth.

Use Directions and Safety Measures

The spray is designed for local use only.

Dosage and Administration

For proper administration, the following directions are applied:

• Before using Lysobact DUO, please remove the lid from the spraying hose and turn the applicator’s hose upwards.
• Put the applicator on the spraying hose and press it several times to fix and test.
• Open the mouth wide and direct the applicator to the affected area.
• Press the applicator 5 times to release 1 ml of spray (a single serving).
• Use the spray 3-6 times a day with a minimal interval of 2 hours between applications for no more than 5 days.

Lysobact DUO spray can be used in adults and children from 6 years old. The contraindications for its use are minor age and hypersensitivity to its ingredients.

The possible side effects of Lysobact DUO include allergies, excessive anesthesia with numbing and swallowing difficulties, and nausea.

Warnings and Precautions

The spray is not designed for long-lasting, regular treatment. If the symptoms do not reduce or become severe within 5 days of use, please contact your ENT doctor. Please keep in mind that patients prone to allergies should avoid using the medication.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Due to the lack of clinical evidence, Lysobact DUO spray is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women’s use.
