Description
Acupressure mats may look pretty scary, but they’re perfectly safe to use. These mats are usually covered in plastic spikes, and act as a convenient, at-home replacement for in-person acupressure treatment. Set aside some time throughout the week to relax and rejuvenate with your mat after a long day. If you enjoy using your acupressure mat enough, you can start using it on a regular basis!

Directions
Lay face-up with your back centered on the mat. Gradually relax yourself onto the mat—since there are a lot of spikes, it’s going to feel a bit prickly and weird at first. Lower yourself slowly until you’re placing your full weight on the mat. You may be feeling really weird and uncomfortable at first as you adjust to the mat. Close your eyes and breathe deeply, letting yourself relax completely on the surface of the mat. Try not shift and roll around—instead, just stay as still as possible. After 20 minutes, lift yourself slowly off the mat.
